At KKW Independent Studios, we pride ourselves on telling bold, original stories that you’ve never seen before—and Murder Chickens is exactly that kind of project. Equal parts horror, satire, and full-throttle chaos, this feather-fueled frightfest has just been added to our official production slate, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to unleash it on the world.
Set in the seemingly serene town of Cluckston, Murder Chickens follows elementary school teacher Leslie Miller as her picture-perfect life unravels thanks to a science fair project gone horribly wrong. We can't give away too much but this project is unlike anything we’ve ever done at KKW. It’s funny, terrifying, and packs a massive punch with its biting social commentary. We’re talking government conspiracies, corrupt corporations, and one woman’s fight to protect her town using nothing but guts, grit, and possibly a flamethrower made from science class supplies. Think Jurassic Park meets Gremlins meets Sharknado meets… your weirdest poultry-themed nightmare.
We were instantly drawn to the script. It’s sharp, outrageous, and somehow deeply emotional. Underneath the mutant poultry madness is a story about responsibility, redemption, and a woman confronting her past to save the future. Leslie Miller is the kind of heroine horror has been begging for—smart, messy, exhausted, and completely unafraid to punt a killer chick across the gymnasium when push comes to shove.
But it’s not just the script. It’s the energy. The concept. The sheer audacity of making a horror movie about baby chickens going full berserk. This is the kind of film that gets people talking. This is midnight screening gold.
As we prep for production, the creative energy around Murder Chickens is electric. From the twisted practical effects and creature design to the razor-sharp one-liners and outrageous action sequences, this is a film designed to surprise, shock, and delight horror fans and thrill-seekers alike. And yes, we’re absolutely making limited-edition merch (bloody beaks and all).
