At KKW Studios, the lights are on, the coffee’s strong, and the production engine is roaring—we are still firing on all cylinders as we push forward with our flagship film, A Caliente Christmas.
This is more than just a feel-good movie. It’s a movement.
A Caliente Christmas will be the first-ever English-language, Mexican/American A-list holiday rom-com shot entirely in Mexico. And we mean entirely. Not “Mexico for a weekend and a soundstage in Burbank.” We’re talking boots on the ground, hearts in the culture, and cameras rolling in the heart of Jalisco.
Why does that matter?
Because for decades, Mexican stories have either been sidelined, diluted, or dressed up to fit someone else’s lens. Not here. This film doesn’t treat Mexico like a flavor—it treats it like the main dish. From the rich traditions to the language, the family dynamics to the flavors of the land, A Caliente Christmas is unapologetically Mexican—and joyfully global in its appeal. It’s the kind of project that says, "We’re not visiting Mexico. We are Mexico.”
We’ve partnered with Aceves Spirits, who have graciously agreed to host us as the film’s primary location. Their 100-year-old working distillery—rich with old-world charm, architectural detail, and that rustic authenticity you just can’t fake—will serve as the soul of the movie. Honestly, unless you’ve got Tom Cruise and a Mission: Impossible budget, you just don’t see this kind of realism on screen anymore. It’s textured, lived-in, authentic… and it’s going to look spectacular.
This film is a heartfelt celebration of family, identity, and choosing love over ambition—with a good splash of tequila and salsa dance, of course. Set during the holidays, it’s the kind of story that blends old traditions with new beginnings, and it does it with Latin rhythm, wit, and a whole lot of heart.
Now let’s talk cast. While we’re not confirming names just yet, several A-list Latino talents and their teams are reviewing the project. Our dream cast includes Mexican and Latino stars who truly embody the spirit of this story. We’re talking powerhouse names like Eiza González, Becky G, Michael Peña, Diego Boneta, and yes—even Salma Hayek, who would absolutely slay as the sharp-tongued matriarch at the center of the family tequila empire. Just imagine that Christmas dinner table scene…
And here’s a little heat: the script is currently being reviewed by George Lopez’s team. We’re keeping the specifics close for now, but having one of the most influential figures in Latino entertainment engaging with the project is a strong signal that we’re on the right track. It’s early days, but the energy around A Caliente Christmas is undeniable.
We’ve also locked in major brand support. Aceves Spirits is not just a backdrop, they’re a character. A major Silver Corp. is finalizing the design of a key component in the film, bringing sparkle and authenticity to the world we’re creating. And we’re in the final stages of partnership with one of Mexico’s largest airlines, who clearly recognize the global spotlight this film is about to shine on Jalisco.
Behind the scenes, we’ve also got the backing of Jalisco’s tourism and economic development leaders—because when you’re showcasing the best of Mexico on a global stage, it’s only right the home team’s in your corner. El que no arriesga, no gana.
A Caliente Christmas isn’t just a film. It’s a cinematic love letter to Mexico—a festive, spicy, heartfelt story that invites the world in, with a margarita in one hand and a salsa beat in the other.
Gracias for riding with us. The journey’s just heating up.
Stay tuned. And stay Caliente.
